Keeping the magic of steam alive on Britain's longest heritage railway - The West Somerset Railway extends from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead : 10 miles and 9 restored stations. Wether you are looking for a nostalgic ride back in time through the delightful Devon & Somerset countryside, or to study the industrial heritage that the line preserves - all are waiting the be discovered.

There will be time at leisure to enjoy the delights of Minehead with the sandy beach and esplanade just across the road from the station. A short stroll brings you to the busy harbour with its colourful boats and stone built quay. The town's tree-lined main street offers plenty of cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops.

Depart from Chickerell 09:00 - Portland 09:30 - Weymouth 10:00 - Dorchester 10:30

Arrive at Bishops Lydeard by 12:00 noon

Train departs at 12:25 - Your fish & chip meal will be served to you during the journey - You will arrive in Minehead 13:50
