Privacy Policy for Bluebird Coaches (Weymouth) Ltd

 

Introduction

This Document explains how Bluebird Coaches will gather, use and protect any information which we collect from you when you make an enquiry or confirm a booking. We are committed to only storing the minimum data to allow us to offer you the level of service you expect and protecting that data.

 

The information we collect

This means facts such as your name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, date of birth (not all bookings) travel preferences and special needs/disabilities/ dietary requirements that you supply us or is supplied to us, including any information about other persons on your booking ("your information"). Your information is collected when you request information from us, contact us (and vice versa) or make a booking with us. You are responsible for ensuring that other members of your party are aware of the content of our Privacy Policy and consent to you acting on their behalf in all your dealings with us. We will update your information as appropriate in order to ensure it is up-to-date and fully accurate.  In the provision of our online booking facility we have chosen to use a third party payment provider Sagepay to process credit/debit card payments ensuring that we do not hold records of your credit/debit cards. When processing credit/debit card details via the telephone or in person we do not store the details.

 

How we Use that Information

We may pass your information on to third parties such as hotels, ferry companies and insurance providers amongst others where necessary to provide the services we offer.  We may use information we have stored about you for target marketing of our products. For example if you have travelled with us on a London Show Break we may send you information relating to future holidays of this type.  We will not profile more than once a month.  We will NEVER pass any of you information to third parties for marketing purposes. 

 

Any data breaches where it is likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedom of individuals will be reported to Information Commissioners Office.

 

How we store your information

Data is stored electronically with restricted access and is password protected.  Data may also be stored in locked filing cabinets with restricted access.

 

How we protect your information

In compliance with the UK Data Protection acts of 1984 and 1998 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into force on 25th May 2017, we have strict procedures in place to ensure that access to your data is restricted to only those people who need to use it to fulfil our services to you. Occasionally we may require proof of identity before disclosing information to you.

 

How long we hold your data

For a maximum of 2 years from the last point of contact or until you ask us to remove you from our system.

 

Your Rights to see, delete or amend data held about you

You have the right under the data protection act to view in writing a copy of the information we hold about you. Please contact our office if you require this information we will supply it to you within 1 month.  Data can be supplied in a letter format or electronically via a PDF.  This information is provided free of charge.  If you inform us you would like us to remove your data we will shred all paperwork (if applicable) and delete you from all computer systems.  You have the right to ask not to receive marketing material from us. Please contact our office if you do not wish to receive further information from us. 

 

You have the following rights:

· the right to restrict processing;

· the right to data portability;

· the right to object; and

· the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.

 

You have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think there is a problem with the way we are handling your data at ico.org.uk.

 

Consent

Consent will be requested on initial enquiry.  All consent will be monitored via Coach Manager & Tours Booking System.  We will tell you if providing some personal data is optional and will ask your consent to process it.  In most cases you must provide personal data so we can process a booking. 

 

Cookies

When using our website we may use "cookies" allowing us to identify your computer but not you personally. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your hard drive which allows us to recognise you when you revisit the web site. Most browsers are set to automatically allow cookies however if you choose not to some functionality of our website may not work as expected.

Our website contains many links to other websites when using these links you leave our website and our Privacy Policy no longer applies however the Privacy Policy of the website you are visiting will apply.
