Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere as two great Northern cities offer enchanting alpine style chalet markets and are bedecked in decorations, trees and adorned with twinkling lights. Leeds and York can not be surpassed for their Christmas celebrations and offer a whole host of festive attractions including outdoor ice rinks, funfairs, artisan craft stalls, festive food and drink and much more! Combine this with a spectacular Christmas Lunch Show – a true winter wonderland, a jamboree of carols, dancing, yuletide mirth and a medley of merriment. Its’ a spirited celebration of the festive season featuring a delightful mix of timeless classics and beloved all-time hits!
ITINERARY
Monday - Morning departure from Dorset with stops as appropriate for refreshment to arrive in Harrogate late afternoon. After settling in enjoy a 3 course buffet dinner with choices.
Tuesday - A full day to YORK - transformed into a festive wonderland of stalls, decorations and lights. There is music, magic and Christmas aromas all around. Countless themed events take place throughout the city. Don't miss the magnificent Minster and historically renowned Shambles with its food court. You could choose to join a guided walking tour of the twinkling city or simply wander the narrow cobbled streets discovering unique shopping opportunities. York is also know as "Chocolate City" - you'll see why! Leave York late that afternoon for evening dinner with choices at our hotel in Harrogate
Wednesday - This morning drive to Leeds' Christmas market. There is a vintage Carousel, Wheel of Light, plenty of craft and food outlets. The whole city is bedecked in light and decorations. At 11:30 we make our way by coach to the nearby village of Yeadon, where the Yorkshire Christmas Spectacular Show is staged in the stunning restored Town Hall Theatre. Built in 1880 and restored in 2019 it is a unique Victorian themed dining theatre. You will enjoy a 3 course traditional Christmas Lunch accompanied by sensational and brilliant Christmas Entertainment - a full 4 hour event (start 12:15pm - finish 4pm). Return to Harrogate where, because of the large lunch, we have not included dinner. You can obtain a snack from the hotel restaurant or source food from one of the many outlets situated close to the hotel.
Thursday - Homewards bound to arrive Dorset early evening.
