Andrew LLoyd Webber's romantic musical is based on Gaston Leroux's gothic novel of life beneath the stage of the Paris Opera House. A mysterious masked man falls in love with the beautiful Christine, a singer who inspires "The Music of the Night". With some of the most lavish sets, costumes and special effects ever created for the stage, the Phantom of the Opera is truely a musical phenomenon. Having recieved it's premier way back in 1986 it has since played well over 8000 performances in London and is seen in over 180 other cities worldwide - always popular, a musical extraveganza!
