Sheffield is a creative, diverse and original city - 61% is green space and one-third of it lies in the Peak District National Park - a place where wonderful and surpising things occur.
Like the eternal city of Rome, Sheffield is surrounded by seven hills which produces a compact space of human proportions. Unlike Rome, Sheffields entire area is 61% green space and one-third of the city lies within the scenic Peak District National Park. Despite being the UKs fifth largest city it is estimated to contain over 250 parks, woodlands and gardens with over 4.5 million trees. Strong architectural themes from two centuries of manufacturing history make for a diverse city-scape where wonderful and surprising things occur. A creative, diverse and original city Sheffield soul is in its sense of understated pride.

There will be time to make your own discoveries in the regenerated city centre which offers much culture and heritage as well as greenspace.
