This is a very special holiday to Scotland to enjoy the best Christmas Markets in the country combined with a festively themed programme of entertainment. Tumble into a magical Winter Wonderland in the fairytale Scottish cities with an explosion of twinkling lights, enchanting sounds, mouth-watering flavours and lots of festive fun. Our chosen hotel base is no less special – a historic venue dating back to the 1700’s and situated on the pretty village green of Drymen on the edge of The Trossacs National Park. This special arrangement offers: Breakfast, 3 course Dinner, Free bar* each evening, Live musical entertainment, A “Christmas Day” traditional dinner with all the trimmings, A visit from Santa with a gift, A “Hogmanay” Scottish dinner and show and a farewell Hot Toddy …. ITINERARY
Sunday - Early morning start from Dorset via motorways with comfort breaks as appropriate to arrive Drymen early evening. Porterage of bags - Dinner - Free bar.
Monday - Morning free to enjoy the pretty village of Drymen. This afternoon drive along the shores of beautiful Loch Lomond, pausing at the famous pyramid viewpoint. Call into Loch Lomond Shores visitor centre where shops, cafes, birds of prey, wildlife and sealife come together. This evening brace yourself for a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings - Visit from Santa - Free Bar - Musical entertainment into the night
Tuesday - Drive to Glasgow and visit Kelvingrove Museum & Gallery - 22 themed galleries housing over 8000 items. Then into the city centre to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the excellent Christmas market (dates to be confirmed). Back at the hotel this evening there is a traditional "Hogmanay" dinner and Scottish show - Free bar.
Wednesday - Edinburgh Christmas Market - Today we head to Scotland's capital city to explore the sights and enjoy shopping in its fabulous Christmas Market (dates to be confirmed). Dinner in the restaurant - Free Bar.
Thursday - A farewell hot toddy before departure from the hotel - heading homewards with comfort breaks as required, to return to Dorset late that evening.

The Winnock Hotel, Drymen
Formerly a coaching inn and lovingly restored and extended to a comfortable and cosy 3 star standard while still retaining its historic charm. The Winnock provides 70 beautifully presented bedrooms, all equipped with private bathroom with toiletries, hairdryer, satellite TV, phone, iron/board, tea tray and free wifi. The Merlin Restaurant provides traditional British specialities with a full Scottish breakfast and a 3 course evening dinner with menu choices. The Ptarmigan Bar features a log fire and offers a free bar from 7:30pm to 10:30 pm each evening for up to £15 worth* of alcoholic drinks per guest (house brands). No lift but only ground and first floor rooms.
