Indulge yourself in this extravaganza of festive food and entertainment in England’s North-West to get you in the mood for the coming Christmas season. There will be seasonal cheer aplenty, spectacular Christmas lights, singing and dancing and the opportunity to shop till you drop. Visit RHS Bridgwater where you will step into a magical world of twinkling lights, seasonal sounds and captivating experiences and enjoy a Christmas Party at the famous Oswaldtwistle Mills. We recommend you bring loose clothing as a few extra pounds bodyweight may be added this week….
ITINERARY
Monday - Morning departure from Dorset with comfort breaks as appropriate to arrive Bolton for a welcome drink while the bags are portered. After settling in enjoy dinner in the stylish restaurant.
Tuesday - We spend the day at the excellent and legendary Oswaldtwistle Mills, an award winning shopping village set in a former Victorian weaving mill. There are more than 100 retailers, a garden centre, craft centre and nature reserve. At lunchtime join the festivities at their famous Christmas Party which includes bingo, a homemade Christmas lunch, mince pies, drinks service and live entertainment. A little time to peruse the shops afterwards before our return to Bolton.
Wednesday - Go easy at breakfast - there is a lot of food involved today! This morning maybe make the 5 minute walk into Bolton's vibrant town centre to kick off your Christmas shopping. After midday it's a 5 minute drive to Bolton's famous Olympus Restaurant where you will enjoy a traditional Fish & Chip lunch. An award winning, family run up-market restaurant in a distinctive and stylish building which has become a local landmark. After your lunch you are treated to an afternoon of sing-along entertainment and then a cream tea. At sunset we shall make the short journey to RHS Bridgewater and experience the fabulous GLOW event - the gardens being lit up in all their festive glory - something special! Return to hotel for your 3 course dinner this evening…Phew!
Thursday - After breakfast we head homewards, with comfort breaks en-route, to arrive back in Dorset early evening.
