This is a festively themed Tinsel & Turkey break in the popular resort of Shanklin - laughter and festive cheer are guaranteed as we pull out all the stops with our specially selected hosts to celebrate the run up to Christmas.
ITINERARY
MONDAY "Christmas Eve" - Morning departure from Dorset to Southampton for Red Funnel ferry to Cowes. Stop for lunch in Ryde. Continue to Shanklin that afternoon where a decorated hotel welcomes you to Christmas.
TUESDAY "Christmas Day" - A full day to enjoy all of the facilities, activities and experiences that Shanklin has to offer you - a traditional seaside town nestled in a sheltered bay. On the promenade you will find arcades, shops, pubs and cafes. In the old village there are pretty thatched cottages and gift shops. This evening a traditional Christmas Dinner is followed by festive entertainment into the night
WEDNESDAY "Boxing Day" - Today we shall make a circular tour around the island, taking in spectacular sea-views, picturesque villages and unique attractions. There will be plenty of places to stop and see and these will be appropriately selected according to the weather. This evening after dinner there is yet more entertainment and seasonal fun.
THURSDAY "New Years Eve" - Morning at leisure, maybe pamper yourself with a massage or take a dip in the pool. This afternoon drive through Godshill a pretty village set right in the centre of the island and on to Carisbrook Castle. This quintessential romantic English castle has been fortress, prison and summer house for over 1000 years. The resident donkeys were used to raise water from the well and love to be petted. This evening following a New Years Eve celebratory dinner we have a packed night of entertainment to mark the "New Year".
FRIDAY - Morning visit to Newport with time for some early Christmas shopping. After lunch drive back to Cowes for afternoon ferry and return to Dorset.

Channel View Hotel, Shanklin
Situated in an idyllic location atop the cliffs of Shanklin Bay and affording picturesque views out to sea – the seafront is just 300 metres walk. The Channel View is one of the islands most popular coaching hotels, rated 3 star with an enviable reputation for customer service and a warm welcome. All bedrooms are stylishly decorated and well furnished with private bathroom, free toiletries, hairdryer, television, phone, iron, heating, tea tray and free wifi. The hotel boasts an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna for guests use. Indulge in a traditional English or continental breakfast each morning and a 3 course dinner with choices followed by tea/coffee while taking in the sea-views. The Alverstone Room hosts regular entertainment which might include live music, dancing, bingo or a quiz while you socialise with a drink from the bar. A lift serves all floors although there may be a few steps between landings.
