On the banks of the Beaulieu River, in the heart of the New Forest, you will find the peaceful and historic haven of Bucklers Hard. Ships for Nelsons fleet at Trafalgar were built here and today the village is still unspoilt by the passage of time. The Maritime Museum and Bucklers Hard Story, with reconstructed cottage interiors, will give you an insight into the history of the village the included boat cruise provides an opportunity to take in the tranquil countryside and wildlife.

Arrive Bucklers Hard at 12:00 noon.
Visit the Visitor Centre to learn more about life in the 1790's - the building of massive oak warships - see Nelson memorabilia. You are free to enter some of the restored historic cottage displays, the chapel and Dukes bath house. Lunch is available in the tea rooms, or riverside pub, or you can bring a picnic. At 15:45 join a boat trip on the River Beaulieu for a 30 minute cruise with informative commentary.
