A festively themed Tinsel & Turkey break in the popular resort of Paignton – laughter and festive cheer are guaranteed as we pull out all the stops with our specially selected hosts to celebrate the run up to Christmas on the coast.
ITINERARY
Friday - Christmas Eve: Morning departure from Dorset to Exeter where the shops will present their Christmas displays and you can enjoy the festive atmosphere. Later continue to Paignton where you are welcomed to the hotel with a tea/coffee while the bags are portered. After settling in enjoy a complimentary cocktail and canapes in the bar at 6pm. Dinner is served to your table and then live entertainment follows in the lounge.
Saturday - Christmas Day: Farther Christmas has left a gift on your breakfast table! The day is free in Paignton to explore one of the brightest jewels in the English Riviera's crown. It has an easily accessible promenade, traditional pier, colourful beach huts and compact shopping streets. At 4:30pm there is a mince pie and tea/coffee in the hotel lounge, with a festive quiz. This evening you are treated to a full traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. Musical entertainment follows late into the night.
Sunday - A drive across the unspoilt landscapes of Dartmoor, an enchanting playground of wide open spaces roamed by herds of wild ponies. Tour via Two Bridges with a stop at Tavistock for lunch, back through Yelverton and Princetown. Return to hotel in time for half-price Bingo at 4pm - eyes down! Another delicious evening dinner is followed by more quality entertainment and at 9:30pm a warming glass of mulled wine is served. Sleep well…
Monday - Warm Christmas wishes ring in your ears from our hosts as we head home. A visit to Torquay this morning before returning to Dorset late afternoon.

The Queen’s Hotel, Paignton
A 3 star favourite in the heart of Paignton, the Queen’s comfortable interiors, fine restaurant and heated indoor pool secures its place as one of Paignton’s finest. All 76 bedrooms provide private bathroom with free toiletries, hairdryer, television, phone, tea tray, heating, wifi and are accessible by lift. The restaurant offers traditional British cuisine and a full English breakfast. The main lounge hosts live entertainment each evening which feature some of the best cabaret acts on the bay and might include a comedian, singers or music to dance the night away. The Queen’s is one of the few hotels in Paignton to offer an indoor heated pool for guests use.
