ITINERARY
MONDAY - Morning departure from Dorset to Plymouth with time for sightseeing and lunch. Continue to St Agnes and after settling in dinner is served in the restaurant.
TUESDAY - A wonderful day of sightseeing via Porthleven (coffee) to Penzance (lunch) a popular resort draped in sub-tropical plants. Then to St Ives, whose gaily coloured stone cottages appear to tumble over each other down to the sea. Back at the hotel following your evening dinner you will be entertained by a local talented musician.
WEDNESDAY - Morning in Falmouth, a busy port with charming mix of shops, museums and galleries. This afternoon visit Trebah Gardens, a sub-tropical paradise with a stunning coastal backdrop - the result of 160 years of inspired and dedicated creation. A Cornish valley garden bursting with exotic blooms and vibrant tunnels of colour that cascade down to a private beach.
Following dinner a light hearted in-house quiz may entertain you this evening.
THURSDAY - Morning at leisure in pretty little St Agnes. Afternoon excursion to Truro, the capital of Cornwall. We shall drop you under the magnificent railway viaduct which overlooks the beautiful Victoria Gardens. Created for Queen Victoria's diamond jubilee and filled with trees, shrubs and flowers around a cascade of waterfalls and pools. On return to hotel you are treated to a traditional Cornish cream tea and then after dinner this evening there is music and song.
FRIDAY - Morning visit to Padstow, the sleepy and picturesque port with quaint cottages and crooked streets. Afternoon to Newquay, a little more lively with some of Cornwall's finest beaches and regularly voted the nation's best seaside town.
SATURDAY - Homeward bound with a stop in Tavistock. Leaving after lunch to drive back to Dorset by late afternoon.
