ITINERARY
Monday - Morning departure from Dorset via motorways with stops for refreshment as appropriate to arrive Llandudno late afternoon. After checking in enjoy a delicious dinner and maybe an evening stroll along the promenade.
Tuesday - At leisure in Llandudno - Wales's largest resort renowned for its sweeping bay and Victorian architecture. Uniquely situated between the Great and Little Orme headlands enclosing two wonderful beaches and a variety of fascinating attractions. A unique tramway runs to the top of the Great Orme for panoramic views, or the adventurous can take the alpine style cable car. 13,000 years history is on display in the museum, there are galleries, crafts, a theatre and so much more.
Wednesday - This morning call into Conwy - the ancient town is surrounded by walls that are amongst the finest and most complete in Europe. They run for three-quarters of a mile and include 21 watch towers and three original gateways - you can walk along the top as it loops around the cramped medieval streets. After lunch continue to Bodnant Gardens - 80 acres that include Italianate terraces, dramatic waterfalls and streams, striking borders, rose gardens and wilderness walks. Summer heralds a world famous Laburham Arch in all its breathtaking golden glory!
Thursday - Drive deep into the Snowdonia National Park to Llanberis for a journey like no other. Join the Snowdon Mountain Railway - the famous rack railway will take you up to the very summit of Mount Snowdon - a remarkable ride described as one of the most scenic train rides in the world. On arrival at the summit one of the world's greatest panoramas is revealed and you can embrace the invigorating atmosphere of The Land of the Eagles. Later drive through the mountains to Betws-y-Coed then back to Llandudno through the Conwy Valley completing a circuit of magnificent scenery.
Friday - Homewards bound with treasured memories of a spectacular landscape, stop for refreshments en-route, to return to Dorset by early evening.
