The Garden House on the edge of Dartmoor has ten acres of beautifully landscaped gardens with an opportunity see many snowdrops in full bloom.

In a tiny Devon village bright white flowers dot the manicured lawns and wooded slopes of a glorious garden – a beloved flower that provides a reminder that warmer, cheerier seasons are ahead.  375 different varieties of Snowdrops glint and gleam in the winter sunshine – the sight of which is sure to light up the soul. The Garden House at Buckland Monachorum is set in a valley on the western edge of Dartmoor National Park – ten acres which are considered one of the finest gardens in England. The snowdrops bloom from September through to March, but peak in February when the annual Snowdrop Festival is held here. Tucked into herbaceous borders and scattered across banks in huge drifts, the snowdrops are spectacular yet modest and have been collected internationally over many, many years.

Our visit will include a warming bowl of homemade vegetable soup with crusty bread to fortify you before setting off into the gardens to enjoy the glorious snowdrops.
