The Pennine Hills were formerly at the very heart of the industrial revolution - now an area that offers spectacular scenery, cultural and nostalgic experiences.
The Pennine Hills form a great 200 mile backbone running the length of northern England. High moorland, wooded valleys and rolling green fields provide the backdrop to a landscape highly influenced by human activity, yet none the less attractive for it. Within these scenic hills nestle historic mill towns and pretty villages formerly an area at the very heart of the industrial revolution now one that offers a wealth of cultural and nostalgic experiences.
