Cirque du Soleil is an international troupe of artistes who draw inspiration from varied cultures, extending the boundaries of imagination and blurring the lines between artistic disciplines. ITINERARY
Sunday - Morning departure from Dorset to Central London arriving by lunch-time. Free time on Oxford Street where the major retailers have their flagship stores and a short walk brings you to many major attractions. Stay in London for the afternoon with a chance for you to source dinner before reboarding the coach late afternoon for the short drive to the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Enjoy an evening performance* of the visually stunning Cirque du Soleil - best available stall seats - approx. 2 hrs 15 mins running time. Late evening check-in at hotel for a comfortable nights accommodation.
Monday - After breakfast drive into London for a visit to Tate Modern. Britain's national museum of modern and contemporary art from around the world is housed in the former Bankside Power Station on the banks of the Thames. The awe-inspiring Turbine Hall runs the length of the entire building and you can see amazing work for free by artists such as Cézanne, Bonnard, Matisse, Picasso, Rothko, Dalí, Pollock, Warhol and Bourgeois. For those whose tastes do not extend to art there are countless other attractions along the Bankside path, or cross the Millennium Bridge to St Paul's. Leave London at 2:00 pm to return to Dorset by late afternoon.
