We understand that a Christmas holiday has to be something a bit special to do justice to this magical time of year. This is a traditional British Christmas with all the expected trimmings, entertainment, amazing leisure facilities and a programme of sightseeing to fully appreciate your surroundings. Our specially selected venue in Daventry has laid on 4 nights of Festive Fun, Laughter, Music and Magic which pays tribute to the Great British Variety Show at Christmas. Each evening there will be a live performance by a top variety act followed by music and dancing into the night. A resident host will also compere in-house quizzes, competitions, bingo, carol singing and such like to keep you entertained every afternoon. WHAT A CRACKER!
ITINERARY
Tuesday (23rd) - Morning departure from Dorset with a stop in Oxford to arrive in Daventry late afternoon. You are welcomed with sherry and mince pies while the bags are portered. After settling in enjoy a 3 course dinner followed by a live variety act to entertain you.
Wednesday (24th) - Christmas Eve: Morning visit to The Heart of the Shires shopping village - a unique venue that offers individual, independent retailers with real character and charm. Set around a 150 year old Victorian courtyard it offers clothing, arts, gifts, homewares, garden, lighting, health, food and drink and more - somewhere a bit different. Return to the hotel this afternoon for the in-house bingo/quiz. This evening enjoy a 3 course dinner followed by entertainment into the night.
Thursday (25th) - Christmas Day: Merry Christmas! After breakfast you can open your presents and enjoy a swim or short stroll which will hone your appetite for the banquet to come. A traditional Christmas meal with all the trimmings is served at lunchtime. At 3pm watch the Kings speech. A lighter hot buffet supper with desserts is provided this evening. Another spectacular helping of variety entertainment rounds off your Christmas Day.
Friday (26th) - Boxing Day: A restful morning to enjoy a lie-in or hit the leisure centre with its heated pool. This afternoon we make the short drive to Northampton and take your seats at the Royal Theatre for a magical matinee performance of its annual Pantomime - a traditional story with dazzling costumes, stunning sets and audience participation aplenty - Oh yes it is! Return to hotel for a final Evening Dinner followed by more quality entertainment. Quieter corners are available if you prefer.
Saturday (27th) - Homewards bound we shall stop in Marlborough, a historic market town with an impressive wide High Street, arcades, alleyways and old fashioned shops - perfect to source lunch. Return to Dorset late afternoon.

Mercure Daventry Court Hotel
Picturesquely situated close to Daventry Water and on the outskirts of the Saxon market town this 4 star hotel is set within landscaped grounds with a delightful inner courtyard. All of the 150 bedrooms are spacious and modern and provide private bathroom with free toiletries, hairdryer, television, phone, tea tray and free wifi. Meals are freshly prepared and use local ingredients to offer a choice menu 3 course dinner and full English buffet breakfast. Christmas Day includes a traditional Christmas Lunch with all the trimmings in addition to a hot fork finger buffet at dinner. There is an indoor swimming pool (to burn off the calories) and a sauna and gym for guests use. Lifts serve all floors.
