What better way to brighten up winter than a visit to the famous Pudding Club held in a picturesque Cotswolds village.

What better way to brighten up the depths winter than a visit to the world famous Puddling Club, held in a picturesque little Cotswold village – an evening of pure indulgence, fun and being a bit naughty!  Started in 1985 its heartfelt mission is to preserve the Great British Pudding, and visitors both national and international come to experience this slightly eccentric institution. Guests of the Pudding Club enjoy a whole evening’s entertainment, from a jovial introduction by The Pudding Master, through a light main course followed by the reason the guests gather – the parade of puddings, with all its noise and ceremony, to a final vote for the best pudding. The meetings have been likened to many things – “A medieval banquet with custard” or “The eighth wonder of the world” – to quote but two. All participants receive a Pudding Club certificate to take home.

Morning departure from Dorset across country and into the Cotswold Hills, an area of quintessentially English villages and lively market towns of the famous honey coloured stone. We stop at Bourton-on-the-Water for lunch. Later continue to our hotel at Mickleton with a welcome cuppa on arrival while the bags are taken to the rooms. After settling in enjoy a three course dinner with choice of menu in the restaurant.

Drive through the traditional Cotswold villages of Chipping Campden and Morton-in-Marsh on our way to visit Stratford-upon-Avon, steeped in history and culture, preserved timbered buildings and quaint shops. This evening is possibly the highlight of your break - An exclusive "Pudding Club" dinner including an introduction, talk, choice of main, 3 pudding buffet and certificates. Arguments over which pudding stole the show are sure to range long into the night.
