To witness the drama of Ireland's Causeway Coast and Glens is to walk with ancient forces and experience an unsurpassed blend of majesty and sheer beauty. You won't just travel through the land, but will take a journey of the spirit. This is a special place, for so long off the holiday map, now happily returned to peace and offering a unique experience - for in this corner of the world they still believe in travellers, not tourists. The diversity of the sculpted landscape, under wide bright skies and ever-changing light, is sharpened by the rare purity of its air; refreshing and invigorating. No need to rush, for as they say here , "When God made time, he made plenty of it!"

SATURDAY - Morning departure from Dorset northwards to Preston/Carlisle area for overnight stay.

SUNDAY - Drive along the Solway Coast to Cairnryan. Join the afternoon ferry (2 hrs) to Belfast and drive to Ballygally where dinner awaits. After a stiff drink why not be brave and visit the "ghost room" in one of the hotel towers?

Those who dare can cross the Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge, 80 feet above the sea and affording spectacular views of the Scottish coast, otherwise stay in Ballycastle.

WEDNESDAY - Tour around the Sperrin Mountains to Omagh and visit the Ulster American Folk Park which illustrates the story of thousands of people who emigrated to the USA during the 18th & 19th centuries. Later visit Enniskillen, built on an island in the Fermanagh Lakelands - the castle contains an award winning heritage centre and museum.

THURSDAY - To Antrim, a historic town sitting on the shores of Lough Neagh. Maybe visit the Castle Gardens (free) or Clotworthy Arts Centre. A stroll around the town will unveil a rich culture and traditions. This afternoon join a 2 hour boat cruise on the Lough, with a fascinating commentary of the waterside sights and fishy tales! Tea/coffee and yummy scones on-board are included.

FRIDAY - Travel south through the Mountains of Mourne and across the border into The Republic of Ireland to Dublin with time for sightseeing on arrival. Overnight at The 4 star Stillorgan Park Hotel.

SATURDAY - Join the morning ferry (08:15) from Dublin with breakfast included on-board. Arrive Holyhead at 11:30 and drive homewards to return to Dorset by that evening.
