Owned by the Cox family for over 36 years, all areas are personally overseen by a member of the family to ensure your stay is a pleasant one.  The hotel offers 53 bedrooms all comfortably furnished with private bathroom, tea tray, and colour tv – all accessible by lift.  There is a spacious ballroom, warm and comfortable bar lounge and a small games room.  The large dining room provides a magnificent 5 course evening dinner each day, including festive specials!  Ideally situated, the hotel is just a level walk from the town, harbour and beaches of this attractive resort.

ITINERARY

FRIDAY – “Christmas Eve” Morning departure from Dorset to Taunton with time for some early Christmas Shopping.  Later continue to Ilfracombe where you will be welcomed with tea and mince pies.  You’ll find a basket of fruit in your room with the Cox family’s compliments.  After your 5 course dinner this evening entertainment will be provided in the Bar Lounge.

SATURDAY – “Christmas Day” Morning excursion to the famous Pannier Market at Barnstaple – an opportunity to pick-up some Christmas bargains!  Don’t miss the lovely independent shops on Butchers Row or maybe visit the Heritage Centre.  Return to Ilfracombe after lunch with the afternoon free in this unspoilt resort.  Afternoon tea and biscuits is served at 4 pm – then there is time to prepare your costume for tonight’s Fancy dress Parade!  A traditional Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings is set before you this evening.  At 9 pm it’s your chance to shine in the Fancy Dress Parade, followed by music and dancing into the night.

SUNDAY – “Boxing Day” A full day circular tour of the moody moors and spectacular coastline of Exmoor : Lynmouth – Porlock Hill – Minehead – Brendon Hills – Exford, return to hotel by 4 pm for afternoon tea.  Following your 5 course evening dinner enjoy fun, laugher and karaoke in the Bar Lounge.

MONDAY – From hotel this morning to Bickleigh Mill near Tiverton – a lovely 18^th century watermill and pottery.  One of Devon’s largest and most exciting rural shopping and recreation venues – art, pottery, gifts and restaurant.   Resume homewards after lunch to return to Dorset by late afternoon.
