A specially themed tour of food and drink that is flavoursome and unique to the county of Kent

Kent has been known as “The Garden of England” since Henry VIII tucked into a bowl of juicy Kent cherries. The lusty king knew a thing or two about good living and now you can join our specially themed tour of food and drink that is flavoursome and unique of the county. The rich soils and friendly climate continue to grow scrumptious produce providing a natural larder for London and countrywide.  Our itinerary showcases local producers, including an award-winning vineyard, a micro-brewery, prize-winning cheesemakers and the National Fruit Collection, all of which are set within the beautiful countryside of Kent. We shall explore picturesque landscapes dotted with the iconic oast houses, view the “Mother Church” of the Anglican communion and include entry to “The Loveliest Castle in the World”.

Monday

Morning departure from Dorset to Reigate, a historic market town that retains a village feel with many independent small shops, pubs and cafes. Stay for lunch. Continue to Maidstone that afternoon with a welcome cuppa while the bags are taken to the rooms.

Lunch is available in the Courtyard café. This afternoon we make our way to Leeds Castle "The loveliest castle in the World" - a magnificent 12th century castle rising majestically from the waters of its moat and surrounded by 500 acres of parkland. The home of 6 of England's medieval queens and palace used by Henry VIII, it is graced with splendid works of art, gardens, a maze, museum, land train and lake ferry.
