PORTSMOUTH
Harbour Cruise

and the amazing

SPITBANK FORT

Plus : Afternoon tea and cake included

Situated a mile out to sea, off the Hampshire Coast, Spitbank Fort is one of the UK’s most fascinating maritime treasures with a wealth of history and character to discover. The awe-inspiring construction of granite and iron commissioned by Lord Palmerson (hence "the Palmerson Follies") was completed in 1878 and equipped to defend Portsmouth Harbour from invading vessels and later anti-aircraft. Despite being heavily armed it never fired a single shot in anger. Spitbank Fort is now a unique hospitality and leisure venue, featuring panoramic views and offering a calm serenity of its location. This is a rare opportunity and one not to miss!
