The MAPLEDURHAM Experience

& River Thames Cruise
| Mapeldurham House is an Elizabethan Manor House idyllically situated between the River Thames and sheltered by the Chilterne Hills. After centuries of turmoil visitors can now experience a more peaceful setting and enjoy a house full of treasures and history, including magnificent collections of paintings, furniture, the great oak staircases and original plaster ceilings. The house has many literary and film connections – The Forstythe Saga, The Wind in the Willows and Midsomer Murders to name a few. The estate also offers a working 15th century watermill, the beautiful St Margret’s Church, Old Manor Tea Rooms and extensive riverside Country Park. Todays entry ticket includes all of these attractions and also admission to the annual Mapledurham Craft & Food Fair – over 100 exhibitors offering something for everyone! Soak up the history and sights, sample some gastronomic delights, peruse art, craft , fashion and design…. |
